This week, Creation Healthcare launched a new platform that's set to change how the pharmaceutical industry finds and connects with key voices in healthcare. Called DOL Finder, the platform was introduced at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) meeting in Madrid, focusing initially on type 2 diabetes.

DOL Finder is designed to help pharma companies pinpoint and understand the most influential healthcare professionals (HCPs) active on social media. These digital opinion leaders, or DOLs, play a big role in conversations about diseases, treatments, and clinical trials online. With DOL Finder, users can filter influential HCPs by specialty, location, and more, making it easier to tailor engagement and marketing strategies to individual requirements.

One of the platform's standout features is its Impact Score—a dynamic ranking system that combines social media activity, peer trust, and audience reach to spotlight top influencers in any disease area. For type 2 diabetes, the platform monitors the online engagement of over 30,000 healthcare professionals, offering companies a sharp view of the key voices steering the conversation in this space.

Initially targeting type 2 diabetes, Creation Healthcare is gearing up to expand DOL Finder’s reach to other areas, with a breast cancer pilot launching in the coming weeks. The ultimate goal is to cover a broad spectrum of disease states, making the tool a versatile asset across the pharmaceutical industry.

But DOL Finder goes beyond just identifying key influencers, offering insights into what these professionals are discussing on topics like drug manufacturers, clinical trials, and broader therapeutic areas. Equipped with sentiment analysis technology, users can explore both individual and collective viewpoints, enabling companies to fine-tune their strategies in line with current HCP opinions.

The platform builds on Creation Healthcare’s long-standing experience in tracking HCP social media conversations, leveraging data from CREATION Pinpoint—a global database of more than 3 million HCP social media profiles and nearly 2 billion posts.

Daniel Ghinn, Founder of Creation Healthcare, highlighted the significance of the launch:

“DOL Finder brings Creation’s deep HCP social media insights directly to the industry. For the first time, our clients can explore this data themselves and find the digital opinion leaders most relevant to their needs.”

In addition to DOL Finder, Creation Healthcare also previewed another app at the EASD Conference: Pinpoint for Healthcare Professionals. This platform aims to put the power of social media analytics into the hands of HCPs, allowing them to measure and improve their own online influence. Feedback from conference attendees will shape the final product, which aims to benefit healthcare professionals, their peers, and the broader community.
