Dr. Tudor Oprea is a seasoned expert in machine learning, computational biology, and drug discovery, with over 30 years of experience. Currently, as CEO and Chief Scientific Officer at Expert Systems Inc., he drives innovations in drug target identification and machine learning applications in healthcare.

A co-inventor of G1 (LNS8801), a selective GPER agonist with orphan drug designation, Dr. Oprea is also known for developing cheminformatics tools and platforms like Pharos and DrugCentral. His work focuses on drug repositioning, virtual screening, and the exploration of drug-like properties.

Dr. Oprea has held senior roles in academia and industry, including Vice President of Translational Informatics at Roivant Discovery and Associate Director at AstraZeneca, where he led award-winning projects. As a Professor Emeritus at the University of New Mexico, he helped pioneer translational informatics, combining biomedical research with advanced data science.
